Hi. My name is Andrea and welcome to the STUDIO ELEVEN 11 blog! I’m 27 and live with my fiancé and Miniature Schnauzer, Maddy, in beautiful Greensboro, North Carolina. Being recently engaged, much of the funds made through selling my jewelry go towards our wedding and honeymoon so thanks in advance! 🙂
My love affair with making jewelry came out of necessity. I got tired of wanting a certain style and not being able to find it or seeing a celebrity wear a ridiculously expensive piece and not being able to afford it. SO, as is my way, I took matters into my own hands and made what I wanted! This turned into making things for friends and family, which then turned into STUDIO ELEVEN 11 on Etsy!
Many of the pieces I sell were inspired by loved ones, which I note in the item description. I find that my best designs come from styles I make for friends and family, and I like sharing that inspiration and love with the rest of Etsy. When you buy one of these pieces, you know that every link and stone was meticulously placed by me to be the exact design I was going for.
While I love anything pretty, my main love is working with found beads and objects–taking apart old items to breathe new life and purpose into them. I like my jewelry to have a story. My obsessions right now are old military buttons, leather, keyholes, and antique/vintage plates.
Like many designers, I draw a lot of the inspiration for my designs from the world around me. I’m a belly dancer, triathlete, and computer geek so I have quite an eclectic mix to pull from and I think this comes out in my designs.
Please take some time and enjoy my shop! Also, don’t forget to follow me on Facebook and Twitter to keep up to date on new listings, sales, and updates on projects to come. (I love posting cool finds from vintage and thrift stores!) Also, check out my shop policies for info on shipping, returns, and the like.
